England Rugby Launches Community Campaign – We play

England Rugby have launched a new marketing campaign ‘We Play Rugby’. The idea is to increase participation across all formats of rugby around the country.

The campaign was launched in Twickenham Stadium during the Guinness Six Nations fixture between England and France, funnily enough SNAP’s CEO Mark was there to see it. Saying, “the campaign looked amazing.”

‘We Play Rugby’ has been created for everyone involved with the community and grassroots game as well as those looking to try out the sport. The campaign is looking to raise awareness of the all formats; men’s 15-a-side; women’s rugby; youth to adult transition and alternative formats, including O2 Touch and XRugby7s.

The ‘We Play Rugby’ campaign will further be brought to life over the next 12 months through a range of intergrated digital, marketing and communications.

Joanna Manning-Cooper, England Rugby’s Digital, Marketing and Communications Director, said: “Over the next 12 months, ‘We Play Rugby’ will provide a platform for telling the story of the grassroots game and help to encourage people to get involved.”

Hopefully the campaign is successful as rugby is a great sport because you can remain social and keep fit. However, increased participation would mean a increase in club cost as they will be providing or maintaining elements such as club house facilities, pitches, kit and much more. This suggests that clubs will need more money to facilitate the increase in participation and sponsorship is a great way for clubs to do this.

Have a look at our testimonials, which shows that sponsorship is a great way to increase income for your club.
