Scarlets shows clubs how to generate more kit sponsors

The Scarlets recently unveiled their new 2018-19 kit and it features 18 SPONSORS, with the main shirt sponsor being a Cardiff based wealth management group called Juno Moneta. The other 17 sponsors will be placed strategically across the kit.
The region’s commercial team believe the new strategy has increased sponsorship income by 70%, and may well set a precedent among other teams looking to maximise their club’s value.
The kit will be worn in the Guinness PRO14 and Heineken Champions Cup and will have a similar look to it from past seasons. After a period of financial turmoil, Scarlets have recently started posting healthy rises in revenue.
While Scarlets’ home kit aims to maximise income, the region have employed a different tactic for the away strip. Over the next three years, the kit will reflect one of the three counties that makes up the region with Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire all being represented for a year on the kit. The launch is planned to take place in Aberystwyth next month.
